Scenes from the Phillips Gallery

IMG_5614 IMG_5717 IMG_5703 IMG_5691 IMG_5677For our second adventure of the weekend we headed downtown after church to the Phillips Gallery to see the current exhibit, Van Gogh Repetitions. We weren’t allowed to take pictures in the actual exhibit so all the photos are from other galleries in the museum.

The exhibit was fascinating. As H. said, “You can’t really go wrong with Van Gogh.” True. However, the exhibit goes a step beyond and explores the technique behind his work by looking at paintings and subjects that he repeated over and over again during his career.  It’s closing here at the end of January, but headed to Cleveland in the spring. I would highly recommend it if you are near either city.
