This new Autumn-themed book is perfect for a family like mine with kids at multiple ages and reading levels. The author looks at all different aspects of Autumn from holidays (Halloween and Thanksgiving) to the smells and sounds of Autumn. One page discusses deciduous leaves and why they change color. Another discusses migration and hibernation. It sounds like it could be just a jumble of facts but somehow it works well. There are enough interesting details for an older child and the colorful photographs illustrating each idea are perfect for a preschooler. This would be a great addition to any study of the season.
Nonfiction Monday is hosted this week at A Teaching Life.
